CASA OCUMARE AIR is an interdisciplinary residence for artists, located on the outskirts of CHESTE, an agricultural town in the Province of Valencia, and with a project to stimulate ecology and sustainability by creating crops and orchards that produce part of our food. Founded in 2022 by Elaiza Irizarry and Fernando Calzadilla with the support of the Arts Connection Foundation.

In opening a new space for creativity we are opening a thousand spaces at a time. Creativity does not rest; it demands. It drives us, as if by magic, into a non-stopping process. That this space open for creation and comprehension (understanding) remains a gift for each one of us present here today and to those who will be joining us in the future. That this moment serves to wish the best to each one of us and that those wishes leave a trace for the guidance of others, like a chain, continuously without stopping.
